Avalanche: The Salerno Landings is an Operational level simulation of the nine day battle for the beachhead at Salerno, Italy in September of 1943. The Allied commander will attempt to get ashore and stay ashore. The German commander will attempt to throw him back into the sea, or failing that, inflict maximum casualties on him.
