How to play
Setup, how a turn works and how the game ends, summarised from the rulebook by Eko, Meepzy's rules assistant.
Here is how to set up and play the game:
Setup
- Put the racetrack in the middle of the table, Mild Mile side up (p. 11).
- Dump out the bag of point chips, stacking the gold trophy and silver rosette point chips in order with the biggest on the bottom (p. 11).
- Keep the shuffled racer deck and the bag of racers nearby, and give everyone a die (p. 11).
- To start, players draft a team of 4 racers that they will use for the entire game, taking one racer per race through a snake draft process (p. 12).
How a Turn Works
- Before the race begins, everyone picks a racer card from their hand, reveals it at the same time, and places their racer token onto the Start space (p. 14).
- On your turn, you roll your die and move that exact number of spaces on the track, which is called your main move (p. 14).
- After you finish your turn, the next player goes in clockwise order, watching the chaos unfold as unique racer powers trigger (p. 14).
How the Game Ends
- The race continues until two racers cross the finish line; the first across takes 1st place, the second across takes 2nd place, and the race ends immediately (p. 14, 18).
- The 1st place racer takes the top gold chip from the pile, and the 2nd place racer takes the top silver chip (p. 18).
- The game is over when the fourth race ends, and whoever has the most points wins (p. 19).
