Ridolfo's bitter tone forced me to address once again the encroaching army. The tide of battle-hardened mercenaries had occupied the Tiber valley in a matter of days. Such brutal efficiency, was fitting for Pier Luigi Farnese, the Pope's own bastard son. The bleak reality was in front of everyone: we had already lost the war, with barely a fight. 1540 Salt War is a short, third party campaign for Forbidden Psalm set during the 1540 salt war between the city of Perugia and Pope Paul III. A minor squabble with barely any mention in history books. It requires a copy of Forbidden Psalm to play. The campaign includes: Rules for Enemy units. War in the 16th century is a personal affair. Enemies cooperate and will evolve depending on what happens on the battlefield. Five scenarios hold together by historical events.
