How to play

Setup, how a turn works and how the game ends, summarised from the rulebook by Eko, Meepzy's rules assistant.

Here is an overview of how to play based on the rules provided.

Setup To start the game, shuffle the deck thoroughly and choose a player to be the Dealer for the first round (p. 5). Track scores using a pen and paper or a scoring app, as the goal is to be the first player to reach 200 points (p. 5, 7).

How a Round and Turns Work Starting with the player to the left of the Dealer and continuing clockwise, the Dealer gives each player a face-up card (p. 5). The round continues as the Dealer offers each player the option to hit (take a card) or stay (do not take a card), and any Action or Modifier cards are resolved immediately when flipped (p. 4, 5).

Players continue taking cards or staying until one of the round-ending conditions is met:

  • All players have either busted (flipped a second card with the same number) or stayed (p. 4, 5).
  • One player successfully flips 7 different Number cards, which ends the round immediately and awards a 15-point bonus (p. 4, 5).

Once the round ends, players calculate their scores by adding their Number cards, dividing or subtracting any Modifier cards, and adding any Flip 7 bonuses (p. 6). Set aside the played cards, pass the remaining deck to the left for the new Dealer, and begin the next round (p. 6).

How the Game Ends The game ends at the conclusion of any round where at least one player reaches 200 points, and the player with the most points wins (p. 8).
