How to play
Setup, how a turn works and how the game ends, summarised from the rulebook by Eko, Meepzy's rules assistant.
Here is how to play the game, based on the provided rules:
Setup
- During the game, you will alternate playing on 2 sheets (p. 33). On the first turn, each player plays on their left sheet, and on the next turn, they play on their right sheet (p. 33).
- Appoint a Captain who places the Captain card in front of their left sheet to clearly show which sheet is active (p. 33).
- Place Adventure sheets between players as specified by the adventure layout, and choose an insignia (circle, cross, triangle, etc.) different from your neighboring opponents to write on your starship near your scoring area (p. 10).
How a Turn Works
- The players' turn is simultaneous, with each player individually picking one of the available combinations to apply to their sheet (p. 13).
- Each turn is made up of 6 phases (p. 13). It begins by flipping 3 starship cards to create number/action combinations (p. 13).
- Players must write down a number or draw an insignia (compulsory) using the chosen combination (p. 5).
- Players may optionally use the action associated with the combination (p. 4, 11).
How the Game Ends
- The game ends at the end of a turn under certain standard conditions, such as when you have accomplished the 3 missions, crossed off all the System Error boxes of your sheet, or filled in all the spaces of the marking area of your sheet (p. 8).
- The game also immediately ends if you cannot draw 3 Starship cards because the draw pile is exhausted for the second time (p. 8).
- (Note: Complete scoring details and win conditions beyond these end-of-game triggers are not fully specified in the provided text.)
