Emots

Emots is a game of communication and emotional interpretation in which players try to understand how others feel about a wide variety of concepts. In each round, one player takes on the role of the Emotional Player and, by combining Topic and Theme cards, comes up with four different concepts. They then secretly assign an emotion to each one, while the other players try to guess which emotion they have chosen. The game focuses on how we perceive others: people may react very differently to the same concept, and guessing correctly means thinking not about how we ourselves would feel, but trying to put ourselves in the Emotional Player’s shoes. EMOTS can be played cooperatively, with players working together to reach a target score based on the chosen difficulty level, or competitively, with each player scoring points for correct guesses and the player with the most points winning the game. —description from the publisher
